Doctor Who - censorship cuts

Postby m35541 » 18 Sep 2015, 11:10

Melon Farmers now has a long piece by Gav Selkeld on various censor cuts suffered by Doctor Who over the years.

I hadn't released that some of the audio commentaries had been cut (The Moonbase for example where a load of sexual innuendo as a result of comments in Joe Orton's diaries that he fancied Frazier Hines wearing a kilt as Jamie was removed to avoid a '12' rating).

I recently got The Invisible Enemy which has a 12 rating because of something on the audio commentary in Episode 2 that I will have to check out.

We did have a thread on this subject, unless it was one of the casualties of Vincenzo deleting posts when he left?.
