I don't think the BBFC could seriously justify any of those cuts. So far the film hasn't been cut outside of the UK. After this was passed uncut in Australia the BBFC must have been relieved that they banned Serbian film over there as I think it takes the heat of them a bit.

The rape scene and associated knife violence are actually much more brutal in LHOTL uncut remake, yet strangely passed uncut by The BBFC in a rare moment of treating adults as adults. Massive hypocrisy and no doubt due to media pressure associated with original "I Spit.." trash horror flick, which caused the silly cuts in "I Spit.." remake.

Watched the making of feature that appears on the UK disc. Quite interesting, nice to see the cast as they really are and also behind the scenes footage as well. This is something you will never see in the original version. Wonder what happened to the cast in the original version anyway? Anyway, the director himself was no where to be seen in the above making of feature. Apparently there was going to be a director's commentary but the BBFC cuts put paid to it.

And somewhat surprisingly the same NZ classification Board has just passed L.A Zombie without cuts, which was banned in Australia. Needless to say the decision has been condemned by conservative groups who even go as far as claiming the film breaches the law and want the decision reversed. No sign of a UK release.

I'd expect it to pass the BBFC uncut. Just doesn't sound like the sort of film they'd have problems with.

The BBFC probably wouldn't pass the hardcore director's cut though. According to the films director the version banned in Australia was the soft version.
