Glad everyone (me included) agree that the first one is the best!...and this should be as always! :D

I seen DH 5 times including one at the flick way back in '88! :D

I'd rank them like this:

Die Hard (greatest US action movie ever)
DHWAV (action scenes are weaker than in 4, but a better story and villain. SLJ is a fine sidekick)
LFODH/DH4 (excellent update, if often cartoonish, hampered by dull supporting cast)
Die Hard 2 (standard nineties action fare boosted by Willis' charisma)

Parts 3 and 4 are about equal for me, really. Would gladly watch any of them again.

I loved 4 at first, but the more I watch the extended edition the more I dislike it. Its still good but I think DH2 is better. The PG-13 cut of DH4 is actually better than the extended edition.

No I cancelled my Play.Com order as it seems to have been delayed.

If theyd just left in the real strong language and not the ADR stuff, as well as the (few) real blood effects, that would have been the ultimate unrated cut.

Interesting that! I found one which is interesting is in the car stunt scene (located at 0.18sec) which both cars are fitted with special pivot (to make the car spin around to the side of the other car!) In the film trailer you see it...in the film you don't!

Shame it didn't include the McClane's 2nd chain-whipping scene in it which was cut by the order of the MPAA!..Bah!

The BBC screened this tonight all totally UNCUT and unedited! :P Third time I've this film now ..twice in cut version including one at the cinema and one for the first time seeing this in an UNCUT version on BBC channel!

I think I agree with stevethe censorshipexpert regarding the shootings in the lift. When the film was finished that I was watching I then re-watched the shooting in the lift scene there using the sl-mo function..something a little which doesn't add up right there. And yes there is defintely a 2nd whipping which was cut by MPAA still remains cut. After when he first whips the terrorist. Have a look carefully there where he is laying down (already) dead and there is an chain already around the villian's neck! We didn't see how did it happen to appear to be on his neck! Think WIllis whips around his neck and snaps his neck (to death)?
