Yeah I noticed..I do know MF are wrong..again! It ISN'T uncut..actually!

Not only u need to check the runtimes!..you also need to check on their website to see if the cuts have been waived eg. "All previous cuts waived"!
Works for me!

Chaps, I'm the one who gave MF the information after having this email banter with the BBFC:

Dear BBFC,
Please could you tell me if the latest version of Die Hard With A Vengeance (classified 1st October 2008) waives all previous cuts?
Many thanks,
Andrew

Dear Andrew
Thank you for your email.
The latest classification of DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE is the 'uncut' version (ie, it contains the cinema cuts, previous video classifications were pre-cut). The website record for this title should note this status. I have requested the record be updated accordingly. Thank you for alerting us to this matter.
Yours sincerely,
J L Green
Chief Assistant (Policy)

Dear BBFC,
Many thanks for your speedy reply. Can you please clarify what you mean by 'it contains the cinema cuts' - do you mean the previously cut content has been reinstated, or that the cinema cuts remain? (I am only interested in purchasing a fully uncut version)
Thanks for your time,
Andrew

Dear Andrew
Thank you for your further email.
I am sorry my earlier response was not clear.
The latest classification of DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE includes the material cut from the UK cinema version.
Yours sincerely,
J L Green

Sounds pretty uncut to me. Unfortunately, I ordered the Blu-Ray from Australia after their first reply to me. But hey, I can't be arsed to wait until it gets a release over here anyways. Can't believe we're now seeing the old chestnuts uncut - Cliffhanger, With A Vengeance, I'm waiting for True Lies next...

 ..so why didn't they bother to state "All previous cuts waived" on their website earlier then?!!..thus to save us the confusion over that! :?

Anyway cheers Andrew for that! :D
Works for me!

The BBFC have little interest these days in informing us when cuts have been waived.
Clearly they enjoy people pestering them with emails.

This is the one and probably only complaint I have about the BBFC today.

Under Siege was uncut on Film Four last night. I think the BBFC would give this an uncut '15' now; though they're a couple of bits which deserve an '18'.

Maybe... The version that was passed uncut was for BD as I understand it.

Yes, I shall get it too if its uncut, although I do have the R1 and I think its the weakest of the series.

Without launching into a debate, I think DH4 is the weakest but I like them all.

DH is a 5 star masterpiece, closely followed by DHWAV which is also brillant. Maybe 4.5 stars.

Then 2 and 4.
